Biography
Dr Matthew Yeo is an art enthusiast and continually develops this interest in synergy with his other passion, plastic surgery. He strives to deliver tasteful, exquisite results, and patients know him to deliver warm, and personal care.
Dr Yeo is a MOH and SMC-certified consultant plastic surgeon. He completed his residency in 2012 and was awarded the Gold Medal for performance at the national plastic surgery board examinations by the College of Surgeons, Singapore. In 2013, he received the Health Manpower Development Program scholarship from MOH and completed a one-year fellowship in Advanced Reconstructive Microsurgery in Taiwan, Republic of China, under the mentorship of the world-renowned Professor Hung-Chi Chen. He has also completed multiple aesthetic surgery visiting fellowships in the USA, Europe, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand. Dr Yeo is also the first local plastic surgeon to be awarded Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons following successful completion of the board examinations in year 2015.
His key clinical interests include aesthetic rejuvenation of the face, including surgical and nonsurgical treatments, breast surgery and body contouring, In his earlier years in public service, Dr Yeo performed pioneering procedures in aesthetic surgery, massive weight loss body contouring, reconstructive surgeries of the head and neck, the breast and chest wall, and lymphatic surgery. He is currently a visiting consultant in Singapore General Hospital and Changi General Hospital, where he continues to share his expertise with the next generation of plastic surgeons. He is also academically active and is an invited lecturer at regional and local plastic surgery conferences frequently. He has also been intimately involved in organization of the Plastic Aesthetic Surgery Meeting in Singapore since its inception in 2016.
Dr Yeo is the immediate past Chairman of the Chapter of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, College of Surgeons, Singapore. He also holds various administrative positions in MOH, and SMC. He is a faculty for an international aesthetic surgery training institute, is a key opinion leader and trainer for various aesthetic and reconstructive products and devices, and holds two research patents.
Biography
Dr Leslie Tay is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Physician with more than 15 years of clinical experience. He specialises in Interventional Cardiology with expertise in managing patients with complex coronary artery disease including chronic total occlusion, left main, and bifurcation angioplasty (stenting). He also has special interests in Sports Cardiology, and Cardiovascular CT imaging.
He trained in the United Kingdom and attained the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) before returning to Singapore for Advanced Specialist Training at the National Heart Centre of Singapore.
Dr Tay was awarded a scholarship to train in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular CT at MonashHeart in Melbourne, Australia where he trained under Professor Ian Meredith and Dr Yuvaraj Malaiapan. MonashHeart is at the forefront of cardiovascular research. He gained extensive experience in treating patients using the latest in adjunctive interventional techniques. He has also attained level 2 accreditation in Cardiovascular CT by the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, USA.
Dr Tay has a keen interest in Sports medicine and is a strong advocate of preventive cardiology. He is a certified Clinical Exercise Specialist accredited by the American College of Sports Medicine since 2009.
In 2012, Dr Tay was appointed Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Changi General Hospital and a Visiting Consultant at National Heart Centre Singapore. Dr Tay is a firm believer in clinical practice improvement and implemented numerous practice changes that lead to improved patient safety and outcome.
Being actively involved in cardiovascular research; Dr Tay is a National Steering Committee member and principal investigator to numerous clinical trials. He is widely published in medical journals and is regularly invited as faculty to give lectures at many international conferences.
Dr Tay is passionate about teaching and is a core faculty member for the SingHealth Cardiology Senior Residency program and a Senior Clinical Lecturer with Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
He has a keen interest in medical ethics and has co-authored a book entitled “Medico-Legal and Ethical Issues in Cardiology and General Medicine” (2010, McGraw Hill). Dr Tay is a teaching faculty member of the Singapore Medical Association Centre for Ethics and Professionalism and is appointed by the Ministry of Health as a member of the National Transplant Ethics Committee.
In recognition for his contribution to clinical and research excellence, he was elected Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow), Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore), and Fellow of the Asian Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology.

Biography
Dr Abel Soh is an endocrinologist who has clinical experience in managing patients with diabetes mellitus, thyroid diseases, lipid disorders, calcium disorders, osteoporosis, obesity, as well as adrenal and pituitary diseases.
In 2010, Dr Soh received the Health Manpower Development Award and gained a fellowship in diabetes in pregnancy at the Joslin Diabetes Centre, USA. Upon his return from the USA, he co-ran the Gestational Diabetes Joint Clinic at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) together with obstetricians.
In 2011, Dr Soh initiated the pre-Ramadan counselling programme at SGH for Muslim patients with diabetes. The following year, he received the Singapore Health Quality Service Gold Award.
Dr Soh was actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at SGH. He served as an adjunct assistant professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School and a clinical senior lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He was also a core faculty member of the SingHealth Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Dr Soh has published in several peer-reviewed scientific journals and has penned two book chapters. He was previously the vice president of the Singapore Association for the Study of Obesity.

Dr Matthew Tan Zhen-Wei is Medical Director and Senior Consultant Endocrinologist at Dr Matthew Tan Diabetes and Endocrine Care. Prior to leaving for private practice, he was Consultant, Department of Endocrinology, Singapore General Hospital. He also held academic appointments as Adjunct Assistant Professor at both the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. He was also Physician Faculty Member of the Singhealth Endocrinology Residency Program.
His clinical interests include Diabetes Mellitus, Thyroid, General Endocrinology and his subspecialty interests include Calcium and Metabolic Bone Disorders and Osteoporosis. In addition to his clinical interests, he is active in medical education, education research and clinical research.
He is fellowship-trained in the management of Calcium and Metabolic Bone Disorders and Osteoporosis, having done a fellowship at the prestigious Garven Institute of Medical Research and St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, Australia under Professor John Eisman.

Biography
Dr Stephen Chang is a general surgeon practising at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Gleaeagles Hospital and Farrer Park Hospital. He subspecialises in laparoscopic surgery, management of gall bladder, liver and pancreatic diseases, and liver transplantation.
Dr Chang graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1994 and obtained his Master of Medicine (Surgery) in 2000 from NUS. Having become a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK in 2003, he furthered his training in laparoscopic hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, and liver transplantation in Paris, France.
Dr Chang was a key developer of the laparoscopic approach to hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery and has been active in developing the living donor liver transplant (LDLT) programme at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. He also pioneered the single incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS) and was the first few to publish his experience in single incision laparoscopic gall bladder surgery, liver resection and pancreas resection.
Dr Chang is the founding president of the Hepatopancreatobiliary Association of Singapore and an adjunct associate professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in NUS. Aside from his practice at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, he is also a visiting senior consultant to the Division of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, University Surgical Cluster at the National University Hospital (NUH).
Academically, Dr Chang’s research interests not only include clinical research but also basic science and medical technology (medtech) development. He has held numerous research grant awards totalling more than $7 million to develop new surgical techniques and treatment modalities through medical technological initiatives. He has extensive publications in both clinical and medtech research and has since filed 5 patents in these areas. With these endeavours, he hopes to improve the care of patients.
Biography
Singapore Colorectal Surgeon, Dr Ng has been in clinical practice for over 20 years with more than 10 years as a specialist colorectal surgeon. He is honoured to be the current President of the Society of Colorectal Surgeons Singapore (SCRS).
His passion has been in advancing the practice of (keyhole) minimally invasive surgery (MIS). These days, Dr Ng routinely employs MIS for both simple (e.g. appendix, gallbladder) and complicated (e.g. colorectal cancer) cases.
He also has rare expertise in advanced techniques such as robotic surgery, pelvic and para-aortic lymph node clearance, transanal endoscopic surgery and colonic stenting.
Dr Ng’s surgical expertise has been recoginised locally and internationally. He has been lecturing regularly on his experience in MIS and also performing numerous live demonstration surgery in local and international surgical conferences and workshops. A proud moment for him came in November 2015, when Dr Ng performed live demonstration of his robotic colorectal surgery technique at an international surgical conference, the 2015 ISLCRS (International Society of Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgeons) Congress, a first for a Singapore colorectal surgeon. So far he has showcased his surgery in Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia, Myanmar, Taiwan and Indonesia.
Dr Ng’s other clinical interest is in laparoscopic hernia repair, having also achieved international recognition with regular invitations to lecture and teach. He has also performed live demonstrations of his hernia repair technique locally and internationally at numerous surgical workshops and conferences.
Dr Ng is an active contributor to the worldwide body of medical knowledge, having authored numerous scientific publications on a wide range of topics including head & neck surgery, urology, general surgery, colorectal surgery and radiology. His most recent publications are on his personal outcomes from his cancer surgery and colonic stenting.
Dr Ng has always believed that teaching in medicine is both a duty and an honour. In recognition of his academic efforts, he was awarded an adjunct professorial title since 2011. He continues to teach students and surgical trainees with a passion.
Biography
As a neurologist with more than 10 years experience in the field, Dr Charles Siow Hua Chiang provides specialised care in the diagnosis and treatment of headache, pain disorders and stroke. He currently practises out of his clinics at Mount Elizabeth Novena and Mount Elizabeth Hospitals.
Following his graduation from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MB BCh BAO, LRCPI, LRCSI, 1995), Dr Siow pursued specialty training in the US. He underwent a Residency Programme in Neurology at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals, Virginia, before completing a fellowship in Headache Management at the renowned Jefferson Headache Center in Pennsylvania under the mentorship of Professor Stephen Silberstein. He was subsequently appointed as staff and served as an Attending Neurologist at the Department of Neurology and as a Fellowship Director while he was there.
When he returned to Singapore, he was appointed as a consultant in the Department of Neurology at the National Neuroscience Institute (Singapore General Hospital campus). During his tenure, he served as Director of the Headache Program at Singapore General Hospital and as Chairman of the Ministry of Health’s Headache Clinical Practice Guidelines committee. He established his private practice in 2006.

Dr Wong obtained his basic medical degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) under the Lim Boon Keng and Tan Siak Kew Scholarships and graduated on the Dean’s List. He completed his post-graduate training in Internal Medicine and obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK). Thereafter, he achieved Specialist Accreditation with the Ministry of Health Singapore and was admitted as Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore (FAMS) and College of Physicians of Singapore.
Dr Wong continued his practice in the National University Hospital (NUH) and was appointed clinical tutor in oncology at NUS. Apart from pursuing his clinical practice, Dr Wong was keenly involved as an investigator in over twenty clinical trials exploring novel methods of cancer treatment . He previously held the posts of Consultant Medical Oncologist and Senior Partner in Raffles Hospital in charge of all oncology services at Raffles Hospital.
Apart from his practice at The Cancer Centre, Dr Wong is currently also a visiting consultant medical oncologist of Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital.
Dr Wong is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) as well as the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and Singapore Society of Oncology.
Dr Wong specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of adult cancers with special interest in breast , lung and gastrointestinal cancers.

Dr. Joy Chan is Medical Director & Senior Consultant in Singapore International Eye Cataract Retina Centre.
Dr. Chan graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2004. She was awarded the Gold Medal and Book Prize in Ophthalmology in 2003. Following that, she obtained her Membership to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008 and Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore in 2011. Dr. Chan then completed her Basic and Advanced Specialty Training at the Singapore National Eye Centre in 2011 and underwent fellowship training in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive (Oculoplastic) Surgery at the National University Hospital from 2012 to 2013. She was awarded the Academic Medicine Development Award in 2013.
She was previously Consultant in the Ophthalmology Service, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Medical Centre. Prior to that, she was a Consultant with the Department of Ophthalmology, National University Hospital. During her tenure at Jurong Health, Dr. Chan helmed the Oculoplastic service of the hospital, and was responsible for managing a wide variety of Oculoplastic conditions. She is also a skilled cataract surgeon and has vast experience with a broad range of cataract surgery techniques and new technology such as femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery and computer-guided toric intraocular lens implantation.
Dr. Chan was previously a Clinical Lecturer and a Master of House at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She served as Faculty on several postgraduate level surgery courses, teaching both Cataract surgery as well as Oculoplastic Surgery.

Dr Shawn Goh Siak Shyong graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2000. He then underwent Oral and Maxillofacial surgery training in Hong Kong and received his Masters of Dental surgery in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2005. In addition, he is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and a member of the Royal College of Surgeons at Edinburgh. Thereafter, he served 3 years in the public sector before embarking on his private practice career.
Dr Goh is a well-known speaker on the local and regional lecture circuit in the field of dental implants. He has also organized and participated in many workshops on dental implants and OMS.
His special interests include and are not limited to dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants and orthognathic surgery.

Dr Eric Lye Kok Weng graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1998, receiving several awards along the way, including the University medal for being first in examination in the graduating year. He then underwent Oral and Maxillofacial surgery training at the National University of Singapore and received his Masters of Dental surgery in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2003.
He was selected for Ministry of Health’s Health manpower Development Programme award, and underwent fellowship training in the management of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2006 to 2007. Subsequent to that he has been managing OSA patients in Singapore’s public institutions. The Raboud University of Nimegen, Netherlands, accorded him his PhD in 2011 for his work in Biomaterials.
He served in the public healthcare system from 2003 to 2015, working at NDCS, CGH, KKWCH and SGH. He was involved in all aspects of OMS work and was promoted to Senior Consultant by 2014. He has lectured both locally and internationally on numerous occasions, and has received several prizes for his presentations. He has also published on many areas in peer-reviewed journals. His passion in teaching also led to him becoming the Associate Programme Director for the MDS (OMS) programme at NUS from 2013 to 2015.
His special interests are in the field of Dental Implants, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Facial Aesthetics, 3D and Surgery First Approach Orthognathic Surgery.

Dr Li Yung Hua is an orthopaedic surgeon currently practising at Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore. His subspecialty is in treating complex spinal conditions.
Dr Li graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) Medical Faculty in 1989. He completed basic surgical training and attained specialist postgraduate qualifications from the UK and Singapore – Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeon of Edinburgh and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS) and Master of Medicine (MMed) in 1994. He subsequently completed Advanced Specialist training in Orthopaedic in 1998 and furthered his training under a one-year Spine Fellowship training at the University of Virginia under the Singapore Ministry of Health HMDP scholarship from 1998 to 1999.
Prior to entering private practice, Dr Li worked at various hospitals in Singapore. His last held appointment was as senior consultant and head of Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) Department of Orthopaedic Surgery from 2004 to 2007. In addition, he was the director of Spine Injury Program in TTSH. He was also appointed as clinical senior lecturer by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and served as a member of the TTSH Medical Board. He concurrently served in a variety of committees and held numerous leadership positions at various hospitals and professional organizations.
Dr Li is an experienced orthopaedic and spine surgeon specializing in all aspects of spinal conditions including spinal trauma, deformities, tumours, infections, osteoporotic fractures, and degenerative conditions of the lumbar and cervical spine. He has specific training in minimally invasive spine surgery and embraces new technology including cervical and lumbar artificial disc replacement, kyphoplasty, pain management, percutaneous disc surgery, motion-sparing spinal surgery etc.
Dr Li is actively engaged in teaching and promoting orthopaedic and spine surgery locally and in the region. He is frequently invited to speak at conferences and seminars, conduct workshops and perform live-surgery abroad. He is presently still serving as an instructor and is a faculty member of the Advanced Trauma Life Support course. Dr Li has published many articles in local and international journals. His dedication and contributions have won him numerous awards including NUS Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Awards from 2002 to 2006, EXSA awards 2004 – 2006, NHG Quality Pillar award 2006, Sword-of honour in Medical Officer Cadet Course.
He is a visiting consultant at TTSH and Changi General Hospital. He is a member of the Singapore Orthopaedic Association, Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association and AO spine international.
Biography
Dr John Wang is a vascular and general surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Singapore. His areas of interests are in vascular surgery and endovascular surgery.
He graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland with honours and pursued a master’s degree in clinical anatomy and anthropology at the National University of Ireland, Dublin. He is double-boarded in general and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He completed his General Surgery Residency training and subsequently, a Vascular Surgery Fellowship, at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia.
He was a former senior consultant vascular surgeon at Singapore General Hospital, where he practised the full spectrum of vascular and endovascular surgery for 5 years. He was also an attending vascular surgeon at University Hospital Case Medical Center, Cleveland, for 5 years prior to moving to Singapore.
In 2012, Dr Wang served as the associate programme director of the Vascular Surgery Fellowship and initiated the Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency at the University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
He has published extensively in local and international journals such as Journal of Vascular Surgery, European Journal of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery, and British Journal of Surgery.
Dr Wang has received numerous awards including the Charles Guthrie Award, Alex Chao MD – Young Investigator Award, DVVS Best Basic Research, DVVS Best Clinical Research, and Residency in SingHealth Excels (RiSE) for Outstanding Faculty Award.
